Artist: Koji Sumi 鷲見香治 (°1942), Aussi Appelé Kankan 閑閑
Koji SUMI 鷲見香治 (°1942), also known as Kankan 閑閑, was born in Gifu in February 1942.

Graduated from Nagoya Municipal Technical High School in 1960. Selected for the Nichiten Exhibition in 1961 (selected three times thereafter). Selected for the Nitten Exhibition in 1965 (selected 18 times thereafter). Member of the Japan Sculpture Society in 1968. Received the Chunichi Prize at the Nitten Exhibition in Nagoya in 1977 (Special Selection Prize in 1982 and 1983). Received the Aichi Prefectural Arts and Culture Encouragement Award in 1986. Judge of the Japanese Sculpture Exhibition in 1989. Judge of the Nitten Exhibition in 1991. Member of the Nitten Exhibition in 1992 held in Toyoake City.
