"Large Polychrome Porcelain Figurine Representing Lu XIng, God Of Prosperity"
A superb glazed porcelain figurine, expressively modeled and with particularly luminous polychrome decoration. It depicts Lu Xing, the god of prosperity and success, dressed in a long ceremonial robe adorned with dragons, stylized waves, and symbolic motifs. The glazes, applied in relief, highlight the quality of the workmanship and give the piece a strong and inviting decorative presence. The serene and benevolent face, the delicately painted black beard, and the official headdress enhanced with gilded details attest to the care taken in this production, typical of China in the first half of the 20th century. The unglazed base bears an old, partially erased circular mark, as well as an original firing hole, characteristic of handcrafted pieces of the period. Height 48 cm.
