This beautiful metal called Pomponne was a composition of copper and zinc, with a gilt finish, which has the appearance of gold. Snuffbox is superb and in beautiful condition, its decoration of quatrefoils on a striated background in twists is of the most beautiful relief effect.

Good condition, traces of polishing on bottom.
