"Edwardian Marquetry Handkerchief Games Table "
Elegant "handkerchief" games table, square with marquetry composed of white and dark rosewood. The four triangular flaps pivot and reveal a playing area of 79 cm x 79 cm. The latter is lined in the center with green felt bordered by a gold frieze on a black background. Each of the corners of this tabletop offers a cut-out hollow to place the pieces. In the closed position, we will appreciate the pretty light wood marquetry, as well as the lemon tree fillets which embellish the top of this flying table. A drawer on the front opens at the waist by two small pull knobs in chiseled brass. The whole rests on four sheathed legs with casters, reminiscent of the Directoire period. They are finished with casters - Edwardian period (after the Victorian period).
