Magnificent and impressive pair of Italian wall sconces/candelabra from 1850 in gilded wood, remarkably hand-carved. They feature a lozenge shape adorned with a medallion and garlands of bellflowers, framed by panels of Venetian blue glass that reflect the light and accentuate the depth. The base is decorated, and two scrolled arms complete the design. Also noteworthy are the cut-glass bobeches and medallions, which add softness and charm to this refined ensemble. The antique patina lends the whole piece warmth and character. 19th century - circa 1850
