The work presents itself as a striking fusion of sculpture, light installation, and contemporary design. A powerful white marble head — an imaginary synthesis between the Roman gladiator and the primordial force of Hulk — bursts through a corten steel panel, torn open by an unstoppable energy. The jagged, outward-bent fractures of the metal become dynamic projections of strength, amplifying the drama of the face caught in a titanic scream.
From the heart of this rupture emanates light: thanks to a system of LEDs with adjustable intensity, controlled by remote, the piece also transforms into an ambient lamp. The illumination, escaping from the gaping mouth and the jagged metal fringes, can be modulated with a simple gesture, increasing or decreasing brightness through a circular command. Thus, the sculpture not only captures the gaze but also becomes a living part of the surrounding space, blending aesthetics and functionality.
The choice of materials emphasizes its message: marble recalls classical antiquity and timeless memory, corten steel evokes the resilience of time-worn iron, while artificial light brings the work into a contemporary language, highlighting contrasts and infusing dynamism.
Conceived as a wall-mounted “sculptural painting,” this creation merges pop culture, classical monumentality, and technology, generating a visionary icon that transcends matter and projects itself into the viewer’s space.
