Representation of a young girl carrying a jug. The young woman is depicted wearing a transparent dress. The wet fabric hugs the delicate curves of her slender body. On her right shoulder rests a ceramic vase, with which she is about to draw water from the spring. Holding it in both hands, she bends her head to carefully carry the container.

Henry Étienne Dumaige (1830-1888) - French sculptor, exhibiting his works at the French Salons since 1862. He enjoyed general recognition, creating works referring to mythological and historical heroes.
