Silver Pendant Reliquary With Three Relics, Italy, 18th Century
Pendant reliquary in cast and chased silver, in Baroque-Rocaille style, with openwork frame and front glass. The reverse features a transparent glass preserving the original red wax seal crossed by intact original cords.
The interior, decorated with paper, bullion embroidery and sequins, contains three relics with handwritten labels:
At the top: label “Ex habitu …”, with a textile fragment.
Bottom right: label “De … Julia”, attributable to Saint Julia, with a small fabric fragment.
Bottom left: illegible label, with a whitish fragment visible.
