The pear-shaped body is finely painted in polychrome with refined gallant scenes in the style of Watteau, set in wooded landscapes with architectural elements and lively naturalistic details such as flowers, insects, and butterflies. These scenes, inspired by pastoral theater and the Rococo style, depict pairs of figures in elegant period costumes, engaged in amorous conversations or outdoor walks. The upper rim is enhanced by a fine gold frieze with ornamental motifs, the handle is decorated with a cascading, gradient floral motif, while the base and spout are outlined with a gold fillet. The lid, hinged to the body, is decorated at the top with two seated female figures.
The set is completed by an elegant gilt silver mount, with a chiseled leaf-shaped finger rest, bearing the French hallmarks of Paris for the year 1744–1745.
Under the base, in blue, is the crossed swords mark of the Meissen manufactory.
