Silver Box, 19th Century
Small solid silver box decorated with a scene representing an assembly of putti gathered around a column topped with an urn from which thick smoke escapes. The rim is decorated with laurel leaves and the interior is gilded.
Two 1st grade Minerva hallmarks, one on the inner part of the lid and the other on the rim of the box. A goldsmith's hallmark, partially erased and difficult to decipher, is also visible. It could perhaps correspond to the goldsmith Hénin et Vivier (H&V, a rosebud above, a star below the initials), or to its successor Hénin&Cie (H&Cie, a rosebud above, a star below the initials), active at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
A slight knock on the edge of the base as well as at the level of the lid.
Good general condition.
From the 19th century.

L: 6.5 cm
W: 4.5 cm
