White Opaline Jewelry Box Bronze 19th Century
A lovely antique jewelry box in opalescent white opaline with bluish highlights, mounted on an elegant brass and gilt bronze structure.
The box rests on a highly decorative tripod base with arched legs terminating in small scrolls. The frame is adorned with foliage, small beaded friezes and gilded lines highlighting the rounded shape of the opaline. The lid, also in opaline, is topped by an acorn-shaped grip, giving the whole a highly refined silhouette.
The object seduces with the contrast between the luminous softness of the opaline and the finesse of the gilded mounting. It can be used as a jewelry box, toilet box, bonbonnière, small decorative case or display object.
