Exceptional pewter EWER called "encasque de Mars" with a flared pedestal, fitted with a C-shaped handle with a raised edge and draped crook. It is decorated with two moldings in the upper and lower parts.
Control mark : FF crowned /(16)97 / PEZ(ENAS) - (FF means fine pewter)
Mark of David CANONGE received master in 1689: arrows in saltire / crescent / FIN / D.C.
PEZENAS, Circa 1700
Excellent condition, a tiny crack is reported at the knot.
The productions of this master are always of beautiful quality of material and definition.
First observation of this type of object for this center for almost 50 years, probably the only example listed to date
