Cellar Rat - Late 18th, Early 19th Century

Small rustic folk art cellar rat or candle holder from the late 18th - early 19th century. Entirely made of wrought iron, assembled with a rivet. Classic model with a tripod base supporting a large cup from which the candle holder cylinder is raised, made of spiral wrought iron and housing a push-button system to raise or lower the candle as it burns. Good condition. No breakage, no missing parts. Rustic, "rusted" appearance. Height 14 cm, support width 9.5 cm
