Cast Iron Doll's Or Demonstration Stove - Early 20th Century
Cast iron doll's or demonstration stove - Early 20th century. This model was primarily intended for demonstration purposes due to its weight and cast iron construction (10 kg). It could have been used in shops or by traveling merchants = a small-scale demonstration model. Made of cast iron, except for the cooktop which is 5 mm thick steel. The tap, the end of the towel rail, and the knob rings are brass. The feet and the two towel rail supports are enameled cast iron. A very decorative piece, as it is beautifully molded on its three front sides. Model no. 172 from the company E. BOUCHER et Cie (see last photos). In good condition. Note: one of the upper left door support brackets is broken; one bracket fixing bolt is new. The bottom of the ash drawer is completely oxidized/corroded, which would suggest that it has been exposed to fire (as a toy?). Width 33.5 cm, height 32 cm, depth 20 cm. Feel free to ask for more photos if needed.
