Epinal plate with a rooster on a fence - Early 19th century. A high-fired plate with 65 gadroons (specific to Epinal), a characteristic decoration of Epinal plates. Decorated with a rooster on a fence, resting on a grassy mound. The rim is decorated with two yellow lines. This plate is reproduced in the reference book. Good condition. Note two repaired chips on the edge (see photos). One small hairline crack at 3 o'clock. Diameter 23.1 cm
