Spectacular Italian tablecloth in the style of the 18th century. Skilled embroidery on silk and cotton cord canvas with remarkable polychromy. Gradient colors applied with golden cords. Orderly decoration with a central star and Pillement-style illuminations in arabesques loaded with fruits and floral wreaths with stylized pineapples. Fringes of braid trimmings knotted in color on the four sides. Without lining, revealing the embroidery work. Some pulled threads and small losses (see last photos) and a large yellowish halo visible on the side of a falling panel of the table. Perfect for a historical decoration, despite some defects. Good condition. Dimensions: 250 cm x 140 cm.
