Late 19th century, United States. Mini lattice or log cabin quilt, named by American pioneers for these optically striking quilts dating from the late 19th century. The quilt features a pattern of squares in superimposed layers of cotton ribbons, woolen cloth, and silk. Entirely edged with scalloped burgundy cotton. Lined over a hemp canvas ground. A few small snags in the latticework, no holes or stains. Good overall condition in terms of color and preservation. Dimensions: 103 x 63 cm.
