Seaside Swimsuit For Lady Designed At The Louvre - Paris Circa 1910
Circa 1910 France Ladies' seaside swimsuit dating from Belle Epoque seaside tourism. Royal blue wool knit and cotton knit printed with sky blue and blue checkers. One-piece swimsuit, sleeveless, boat neckline and mini-skirt gathered at the hips, hiding built-in panties. Shoulder tabs buttoned with four pearly buttons. Charming patches of applied wool felt sewn in blue. Label indicating Au Louvre Paris, Hosiery for ladies, special production, size 46 France. Several tiny moth holes in the royal blue wool, but stable condition, exhibitable as is because very discreet. No stain. Average state of conservation. Dimensions: Equivalent size 44-46 France. Measured flat height 69 cm, waist 45 cm, chest 47 cm, hips 54 cm.
