Large 18th Century Leather Box, With Gold Motifs Stamped On All Sides.

Very beautiful 18th century box, rectangular in shape, made of leather covering all sides on a wooden core in very good condition.
The light fawn colored leather is nicely struck with decorative motifs of fine leafy twigs moving around forming parts of scrolls often isolated; other leafy twigs surround diamonds of arabesques, diamonds distributed geometrically in a well-balanced line on the 5 exterior sides of the box; the entire decoration of each side is encircled in the rectangular periphery by small crowns of golden arabesques. Box with its lock with key, its steel handle in excellent condition and the same hinges.
The interior is lined with a beautiful original green silk, however on the floor on the left there is a trace of a very old stain.

18th century period, Regency period.
