Patrice Placeman — Sphynx & Red Ball
Églomisé oil painting, under and on plexiglass, futuristic surrealist composition, 1996.
Striking mixed-media artwork by Belgian artist Patrice Placeman, created using the églomisé technique (painting on the reverse side of glass or plexiglass). This piece showcases Placeman’s remarkable airbrush mastery, applied to the back of the plexiglass, combining acrylics with subtle optical effects. The result is a constructivist, futuristic, and surrealist vision, evoking the styles of Victor Vasarely or Yvaral. The work is signed and dated lower right. Please note: light reflections visible on the photographs due to the plexiglass surface.
