Angelo Mangiarotti is an Italian architect and industrial designer. "Never forget the real needs of consumers..." Mangiarotti focused on creation in architecture and industrial design. Considered an archistar among the protagonists of the birth of Italian design active in the fifties. Angelo Mangiarotti was born on February 26, 1921 in Milan. In 1948, Angelo Mangiarotti graduated from the School of Architecture and the Polytechnic of Milan. He left for the United States in 1953 and worked in Chicago as a professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology where he met Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Konrad Wachsmann, who had a great influence on the evolution of his work. He was very active in urban planning, architecture and industrial design. Mangiarotti received numerous awards in Italy and worked with major publishing houses: Cassina, Poltronova Snaidero... He created Mangiarotti & Associates in Tokyo in 1989.
