It is not common to find oil paintings on such a large copper panel dating from the 17th century with its original frame and in its original juice.

This large composition has just been cleaned and looking at the photos you will see some gaps but for the moment we have deliberately left it in its original juice.
The colors are superb and the composition is treated with great finesse, look carefully at the details, the faces of the children, of Christ, his hands, the drapes...
