"Reading Rabbit – Vienna Bronze Late 19th / Early 20th Century - Bergmann Workshop"
Elegant standing rabbit, absorbed in reading a newspaper. A charming and subtly ironic scene, typical of Viennese anthropomorphic bronzes produced at the end of the 19th century in Bergmann's workshop (amphora stamp B).
Made of bronze with a cold-painted polychrome patina, the figure shows some wear to the paint, which in no way detracts from its period charm. Viennese work circa 1900.
