Large 19th Century Chocolate Cup
Large chocolate / breakfast cup and saucer in Paris porcelain enhanced with fine gold, ovoid shape decorated with a painted genre scene of two drinkers seated in an interior decorated with barrels. The saucer is painted with a landscape of a house surrounded by trees. Beautiful brilliant gilding including the interior. Charles X Restoration period, early 19th century around 1820. The cup is a very rare large format whose useful volume lends itself to use as a breakfast cup today in the 21st century. Beautiful object in very good condition, fresh gilding, no accidents.
