The central motif depicts a lively riverside scene with an arched bridge, boats, and buildings in the background—a “continental” landscape style that was very popular at the time. The rim is decorated with a raised floral border (roses and other flowers). A vintage Staffordshire piece, dating from approximately 1820–1850, depicting Ponte Rotto.
