Antique Blown-glass Vase From Bohemia, Made By The Zelč Glassworks, Dated 1887.
A white-glazed glass jar with a slightly flared body, a gold rim, and a red/coral interior. The decoration, hand-painted and hand-printed in polychrome, includes two variations:
•the inscription “Zelč” in orange Gothic script, with the date “1887” rendered in stylized lettering with double-height numerals;
•a crowned heraldic coat of arms: a count’s crown (with nine pearls alternating with fleurons, surmounted by a globe with a cross) above an orange shield bearing three curved white elements arranged in a pinwheel pattern.
