Set Of Four Regency Style Chairs, Blue Embossed Velvet Fabric, 4 Walnut Seats

Beautiful set of four Regency style chairs in waxed and patinated natural wood. Each chair rests on four arched legs ending in clog feet. The belt is scalloped and molded, the front crossbar is decorated with a shell surrounded by foliage. The backrest is nicely worked, the lower crossbar forms an accolade, the upper crossbar is richly carved with a decoration of acanthus leaves and scrolls. The upholstery is old, three of the four chairs have kept a correct seat, the fourth has a problem with the springs, one of them is no longer in its place (a cord holding the spaces must have broken). The covering fabric is a beautiful embossed velvet in shades of blue, it is in good condition, note a small stain on one of the seats.
