Louis XVI-style Chest Of Drawers Made Of Solid Wood, Dating From The Late 18th Century, With A Wooden Top,

An exceptional Louis XVI chest of drawers made of natural waxed wood, a very rare model due to its concave upper section.
It rests on four tapered legs.
Its four side panels are all fluted and curved at the top.
The front features four drawers arranged in three rows; the top row has two drawers that are also curved and separated by a fluted divider.
All the drawer fronts are carved with a flat band design and adorned with ring-shaped pull handles.
Three of the four drawers are equipped with locks; all of our locks are in working order.
Only two keys are included; one key locks both top drawers. The keys are the original ones.
Our drawers slide smoothly.
The sides of our dresser are divided into three panels with flat-edged trim, the top one being curved.
It is topped with a solid wood tabletop featuring molding around its perimeter.
Please note: there is a slight warp in the top, a few signs of wood-boring insects, and minor wear at the two lock openings where the key passes through (see photos), all of which is due to use and age, without affecting the aesthetics of this undeniably charming piece.
A beautiful example of regional craftsmanship, likely from southwestern France, dating from the late 18th century.
