"Tâs", beautiful old basin in tinned copper, from Afghanistan, from the 19th century.
This basin with a domed base, is decorated with engraved motifs showing traces of black paste inlays in the incisions.
The outer wall is surrounded by a wide band of flowery festoons in the form of trees of life and points of medallions, stylized arrowheads, a decoration found in Central Asia. Above, a fine frieze of flowers accompanied by two thin Greek frets surround the top.
This basin is placed on a large pedestal decorated with a fine frieze.
The object is in very good condition and has a beautiful patina.
The patina of the whole is superb and the whole is in very good condition.
