Till Nineteenth Owner Coachman's Medal
Artist: Inconnu
Interesting trade medal from Paris, in brass, of a coachman-owner named "J. Till": "coachman of local carriage and cabriolet Owner". This medal dates from the first half of the 19th century. It is unusual to find medals for owner-drivers who can drive both a horse-drawn carriage (i.e. a horse-drawn vehicle with four wheels and several seats) and a convertible (i.e. a light harnessed car, on two wheels, with 2 or 3 seats, pulled by a single horse and which rarely included drivers). In addition, this J. Till was the owner of his vehicles. The medal measures 5.8cm in diameter and 7.3cm in height with the ring. The additional ring and the chain are later.
