"Deinert Brass Compass - Germany - C. 1740"
A set of three compasses made of brass and bearing the mark, a wheel, of the German weights and measures instrument maker Adolf Deinert working in Nuremberg. We can date the compasses to the years 1740-1750. The compasses measure 10.7 cm, 9.9 cm and 7.5 cm in length. Perfect original condition, the points have not been recut. German signature not common on compasses.
