Rare celestial planisphere made of cardboard and paper by Oskar Schneider of Leipzig, suitable for use in Germany and Austria—that is, Central Europe before World War I.
A beautiful specimen in perfect condition for its age. Attractive Art Nouveau-style decoration.
Note: there are a few gaps in the fabric covering the rim of the main circle at the top of the planisphere.
Marked “Zweite, verbesserte Auflage” (Second, improved edition) on the back.
The description on the back is perfectly legible.
