"Immortal Li Tieguai, China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). "

The wooden sculpture is covered with plastic floral appliques and an extruded wave pattern, the design of which can be interpreted as follows: 落花流水 luò huā liú shuǐ. “The flowing water carries the flower far away without leaving a trace”. This is a Buddhist reflection on the fragility of life.

China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912).

Height 93 cm, width 28 cm , depth 35 cm.

Condition of conservation as seen in the photographs, relatively good, polychromy losses.
