"Iznik Style Pitcher, Samson, Paris, 19th Century."
A jug painted in the style of Turkish Renaissance vessels, from Iznik. Hand painted with thick coated enamels and underglaze cobalt. The decoration consists of various ornamental friezes and flowers, including tulip flowers, so appreciated and precious during the Renaissance. Samson, Paris, 19th century. Without signature. Height 37.5 cm, length 29 cm, depth 18 cm. Condition as seen in the photographs, there are losses in the glaze and repairs in the spout of the jug. Free delivery in EU. !
