Japanese vase made of cast and chiseled bronze, covered with a warm, coppery-brown patina. The lower part of the vase is silver-plated and adorned with a relief depicting lotus leaves and seeds. The sculptures are three-dimensional, with clearly defined texture and veining on the leaves, contrasting with a smooth background.
Japan, Meiji era (1868–1912), signed: 美山 (read as Bizan or Yoshiyama).
Height 21 cm, diameter 15 cm.
In very good condition, with signs of wear on the silver plating and patina.
