Tebako or case for various accessories. Made of lacquered wood, gilded and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The decorative pattern features an asymmetrical composition of flowers. The inside of the lid features a beautiful image of a blossoming plum tree on a background decorated with the makie-e technique. Japan, Edo period, 17th-18th century. Length 33.5 cm, width 27.5 cm, height 23.5 cm. Relatively good state of conservation, visible friction, losses, small cracks and signs of use. Free delivery within the EU !
