Small wooden cabinet hanagamidai (cosmetic cabient) with gold lacquer decoration and the maki-e method of spraying metal particles onto the still wet lacquer. It has three drawers and decoration depicting a variety of trees and flowers, including a plum or cherry blossom, a pine tree and peonies in bloom.
