Statues Of The Four Evangelists - Circa 1800
Suite of the evangelists on terrace, in softwood and lime wood, carved and cream-colored lacquer. The attributes of our Holy characters make it difficult to identify Matthew, Luke, Mark and John of course. Three of our evangelists are represented as elderly wise men with long beards. Only Saint John is here, still a young man.
