Statues Of The Four Evangelists - Circa 1800

Suite of the evangelists on terrace, in softwood and lime wood, carved and cream-colored lacquer. The attributes of our Holy characters make it difficult to identify Matthew, Luke, Mark and John of course. Three of our evangelists are represented as elderly wise men with long beards. Only Saint John is here, still a young man.
A work from Northern Italy from the very end of the 18th century - or the beginning of the 19th century.
Dimensions of 51.5 cm for the height
