"Baroque Virgin Mary - 18th Century "
Our polychrome and gilded linden sculpture has a flat back. The Saint joins her hands in an elegant, ethereal movement. She is placed on a half-globe base, encircled by Evil represented by a snake, which she tramples. The hair is free, the baroque drapery is voluminous and airy. Germany, 18th century.
Dimensions: 69 cm by 32 cm wide and 20 cm deep.
Good condition. Restored and re-gilded, some repainting.
