Round box from the 18th century in lacquered material lined with tortoiseshell presenting in the center of the lid a composition in metal or metallic paper depicting an altar of love with doves and other amorous symbols. Good general condition, a small chip visible on the lid. . Surround and rim probably in gold. Very representative work of the Louis XVI period. Everything is original! Diameter: 7.8cm. Height: 2.6cm.
