18th Century Gold And Horn Mounted Case.
Message or cylindrical needle case in "guilloché" gold. The case is completely covered with transparent horn. This horn is enhanced by a fine work of golden peas forming volutes, flowers and radiant motifs. Some of these patterns are set with small pink-cut diamonds. The hinged lid is decorated with a radiant pattern with gold and set with a diamond. Some usures to note on the transparent horn.
