"Imberline In Crimson Red Silk Applied With Braids Circa 1815-1825"
Circa 1815-1820 France Beautiful hanging, portiere or tablecloth in crimson red silk Imberline applied with woven red and yellow gold braid dating from the First Restoration. Very soft fabric with a silk twill background and salmon silk filling on the reverse. Woven silk ribbons with neo-classical decoration framing the room. Three strips of imberline from the end of the 18th century sewn (46 cm wide). Tiny defects including a 3 mm hole and a halo (2 cm). Resistant piece, stable to use or reassemble for historical decoration. Good general condition. Dimensions: 252 cm X 154 cm and braids totaling 850 cm in 8 cm wide.
