This work, like Robert Marc's, is inspired by Tatlin's Russian Constructivism. The idea of a construction with no link to visual reality. Autonomy of form, then, a form that creates a relationship of tension with that of its immediate proximity.
Robert Marc explores variations on this choice of abstract forms: rectangular planes, circles, arcs of circles, angled planes whose effects and relationships he accentuates with uneven strokes of colour.
