Very Large Embroidery On Silk From The Early 18th Century, Rare Orientalist Theme
Important embroidery on silk / needle painting, vintage early 18th century. Very rare orientalist subject representing a turbaned character (probably hunter/falconer...) accompanied by his dog. This character is presented in a central cartridge, the entire perimeter of which is richly embroidered with plant decoration and stylized masks. This remarkable work is in excellent condition, the colors are still very vivid. This embroidery is protected under glass and presented in a modern Napoleon III style blackened wooden frame.
