This sculpture of Saint John is a French work from the beginning of the 16th century.
The apostle can be recognized by his delicate appearance, fine and hairless face.

He wears clothes with worked folds with strong movement. Characterized by great expressiveness of the right hand, this sculpture shows him collected, face slightly lowered, holding in his left hand a remains of a chalice (? ).
In good condition with losses due to time.
Formerly polychrome with some remains.

Comes from a large private collection.
