Seduced by the charm of Cadaques, Roca Sans settled there. He painted this picture in his studio in this village which lived in the early 80s, a moment of artistic splendor and multiple creations.
By fixing his gaze in Greece and ancient Rome, this painting offers a Mediterranean vision of the weekly market of Cadaques.
The characters, very present in this canvas with a summer atmosphere, stand out and blend in among the different geometric stalls with a row of trees in the background.
