Superb pair of putti in polychrome wood dating from the end of the 17th century.
these toddlers are in excellent condition, fully sculpted, they have retained their original polychromy and their old patina gives them an undeniable charm. Probably intended to highlight a canopy sculpted with drapery or to highlight a statue, they form a symmetrical pair allowing numerous decor settings. the faces of the toddlers are charming adorned slightly with rouge on the cheeks, they are smiling and the proportions are well respected.
they are in very good condition, a few minor lacks of polychromy appear here and there and a few small fingertips on the outstretched arms.
