Irish Setter, Vienna Bronze, Letter-clip, Late 19th Century

Collection of an old antique dealer.... beautiful object: a mail clamp resting on heavy nickel-plated steel base oval shaped, engraved and colored of green. Screwed securely above, an internal spring mechanism brings painted bronze head of a beautiful red setter to present daily mails, using muzzle and its long ears.
It is Vienna bronze animal, late 19th or 1900, unmarked, cold painted, partially nickel-plated: backsplash and collar, patina shows superficial signs of wear, easy to hide.
