Beautiful 25cm thick Rouen earthenware dish, scalloped rim, decorated with vibrant polychrome painted decoration using the grand feu technique, known as "cornucopia" motif, inspired by Korean Kakiemon designs. Circa 1750.
A classic Rouen design: 3 insects, 1 bird, barriers, a truncated horn, and a bouquet—it's superb and flamboyant.
Untouched original condition, no scratches, no wear on glaze, some minor wear on edges.
