A luxurious Louis Philippe-era salt bottle from translucentcut crystal, with a flat, violin-shaped shape.
This bottle is crowned by a thick, vivid, matte gold mount adorned with highly embossed sculpted scrollwork.
Eagle head hallmarks are on base and lid.
Three green and redstones are set on neck, and eight stones and a pearl are set on lid.
It looks like a work by Froment Meurice, but I did not see any maker's mark.
10.8cm x 4.2cm, gross weight: 80g.
Good overall condition. If you look for flaws: chips on one side of crystal (photo), and it seems to me that hinge has been restored...Look carefully our photos.
